Criteria for the Most Improved Player 

The Most Improved Player award will be awarded annually, usually at the last general membership meeting of the season.  

 

The member must have played with the league in a minimum of 50% of the rounds that were eligible for scores to be entered in the GHIN system (excludes some play of the day events).  

 

Time period for scores to be included is the first day of league play each season thru first week of April each season.  The dates will be specified each season by Handicap Chair with Executive Board approval. 

 

The improvement is based on a mathematical formula using the change in Handicap Index between the first day of play in November and that of the first week in April each season and posted in Golf Genius (GG).  Golf Genius is the data source.
