MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

 

 

 

All Ladies Grand Niners members are required to be a member of Arizona Golf Association.  There is a link on the Home page October through May which takes new or renewing members directly to a site on AZ Golf to join the Arizona Golf Association at the same time you join the Ladies Grand Niners.  Payment will be collected for both memberships during this process.  Dues for 2022-23 will be $35 for AGA and $30 for LGN.  After January 1st AGA dues will be $40.

 

Individuals can join at any time October through May.  League play runs from November through May.  There is an opportunity to play in June through September for active members.

 

The Ladies Grand Niners play every Tuesday.  Time of play alternates on Tuesdays.  Some dates will be shotgun starts and other dates will be tee times.  Shotgun starts will be at 12:30 and 3:00.  Tee time starts will be at 12:00 and 2:00; if all times are filled, there may be some available at 8:30am.  Please refer to the Home page where the specific date, format (shotgun or tee time), and course are listed. 

 

Members sign up for play on our website. 

 

We consider Desert Springs Golf Course our home course but do play at all of the Sun City Grand golf courses during our active season.

 

It is expected members have golfed, have a basic understanding of the USGA Rules of Golf, and are able to play nine holes of golf in approximately two hours.  As a member, you must have a World Handicap (WH).  If you do not have a WH, one will be calculated for you after five rounds of play. 

 

At the beginning of the membership year, a member must declare the tees from which they will be playing.  (See exceptions in bullets below.)  These are the tees that members will then play from for the season.  Once per season, a player may change their tee choices by notifying the Membership Committee.  New members will be given a five-week grace period before declaring the tees they will play for the season.

 

LGN tee choices for Granite Falls North are Gold, Gold/Orange Combo or Orange.

 

LGN tee choices for Desert Springs, Cimmaron and Granite Falls South are Gold, Red, Red/Orange Combo, or Orange.

 

  • If you are a new member without a nine-hole handicap index AND new to golf, you will automatically play the orange tees that season. 

  • Members with a nine-hole handicap index equal to or greater than 27.0 will automatically play the orange tees.


 

As a LGN member, you agree to allow photos to be used for publicity purposes in The Grand Lifestyles or on Grand Info.
