Today, December 14th, Sergeants Travis Merriman, Christopher Ammons, and James Hickman from Luke AFB Operation Warm Heart, picked up over 70 bags of gifts purchased by the Ladies Grand Niners shoppers. When they saw the bags, they were astounded that in this year of so much uncertainty, we were able to provide gifts for the financially stressed families of Luke Air Force Base.
They asked Vicki Burke to relay their sincere appreciation and gratitude for taking the time to shop for these children. As you know, the gifts we purchased go the parents of the children. These gifts may very well end up under the tree on Christmas morning.
Vicki also wanted to thank the shoppers. It's always a big undertaking but rewarding in so many ways. The shoppers helped to make some children very happy this year!!
A big thank you to Vicki for the success of this event each year. Her leadership in working with Luke Air Force Base to make this event happen each year is appreciated. Hundreds of children and families have been helped over the years of her coordinating Operation Warm heart.
In addition to the shoppers and Vicki, I also want to thank all of the Ladies Grand Niners members for contributing the funds that support Operation Warm Heart. This would not be possible each year without your contributions through our Silent Auction, the 50/50 raffle and direct monetary donations. Thank you so very much!
